Strawberry Hill - extraordinary rewilding in the local countryside, talk by Megan Shersby
Just imagine discovering a magical wild place, the size of a whole farm, full of regenerating scrub and woodland and all the wildlife that that supports. A unique oasis and vital wildlife haven in the wider agricultural landscape.
Strawberry Hill is a story of farmland rewilding relatively free of human intervention for almost 40 years.
Megan Shersby from the Wildlife Trust will speak about how this transformation came about and why the Trust stepped in to buy this hidden gem of extraordinary biodiversity in the heart of North Bedfordshire.
Expect stunning photographs and amazing statistics as she reveals the wealth of species now thriving at the site.
For anyone familiar with our own Croft Close Nature Reserve this talk will be a fascinating look at another, albeit much bigger, rewilded site.
Doors open at 7pm with the presentation to start at 7:30pm.
Tickets for the event are available in advance here or on the door on the night.
Adults - £5
Under 18s - £3
There will be a raffle on the night.
All proceeds will go to Histon & Impington Green Spaces charity number 1195616.
